Before You Begin...
Registering with First Book is a simple three-step process. During this registration, you will be asked for some basic information outlined below. You need your organization's Federal Taxpayer Identification Number (also known as an EIN) regardless of whether your organization has previously registered with First Book.
- Personal Information:
- First and last name
- Daytime telephone number
- Email address — this will become your personal login name
- Organization Registering with First Book for the First Time:
- Organization's Taxpayer Identification Number (e.g. Employer Identification Number or EIN)
- Organization's name
- Organization's mailing address where postal mailings can be received
- Organization's primary phone number
- Previously Registered Organization:
- Organization's Taxpayer Identification Number (e.g. Employer Identification Number or EIN)
- Organization's name
- All Organizations
- Proof of nonprofit status or a letter stating that your organization serves children from low-income families
- Your organization's mission statement
- Percentage of children from low-income families served by your organization
- Demographic breakdown of children served by our organization, (numbers by age; primary language by percentage; ethnicity optional.)
